About this he says that he don’t want the aka of Lil Xan because is inspired in the drug. He claim to all fans to call him Diego which is his real name. We are the spanish magazine Vice and today we did it some questions to him. Lets whach it!
You have just been in Germany, in Poland, first in Barcelona and then in Madrid ... What has to do with the European audience of the American?
I love the American public, they are my people, I love them and they are the best. As far as the European public is concerned, I think we appreciate music a bit more, that I also like to come to concerts or festivals here. Music is more like a religion in Europe, I feel more appreciated in the
musical sense.
And society?
Well, American society is screwed. I would say that the world in general is fucked up. It all comes
down to young people thinking that everything is fine and cool, perhaps more strongly in the
United States, but in general it is something that happens globally. Social networks play a very
important role in this, that's why I think that, as artists, we have to try to give the best possible
example. And that is precisely what I am trying to do.
How has your music and your life changed since there are no opiates and benzodiazepines?
For good, of course. The rehabilitation has helped me a lot in every way. It was not so bad when
they were taken, but if we wanted to be everything we had and what we had, we had to cut it off.
And it worked. Being clean has helped me to progress a lot with my music, and not only by my
side, but also with my life in general, with my family ... Now I feel very good.
